 Quick Fixes and GloChat - 10.27.09GloChat GloTouch chat is now fully functional. You can add any user on GloTouch by simply typing in their username on the chat settings page. The chat bar can be turned on while browsing sites by visitng the frames settings page. Simply click on your friend's name in your friend's list to start chatting with them. Quick fixes to make things better
GloTouch Major Updates - 08.14.09Many features have been redesigned or are currently being redesigned to make GloTouch more useful and simpler to use. Visual Design Completely redesigned all the GloTouch pages including the home page. This change was made to make things even simpler to use. General
New Website Design - 03.04.09New Site Design GloTouch has been drastically redesigned to make the site easier to use. We have also added many features such as a "Did you know" box and allowing selection of radio buttons by clicking anywhere in the selection space. Browser Improvements This design update allowed us to focus on many browser issues. Currently, Internet Explorer, Safari, and Google Chrome are functioning properly. There are a few issues with Firefox that we are still working on. New Theme Feature - 12.22.08Menu Background A feature has been added with creating and editing a theme to allow a change of the top menu background color. The current choices are black and white, but we plan on expanding this selection soon. Browser Improvements We are continuing to improve browser support for Safari, Google Chrome, and Firefox. Several browser issues have been fixed. Hotmail Update and Fixes - 10.17.08Hotmail Update The hotmail update has been added. Users may now see how many new messages they have in their inbox by adding the update. Bug Fixes A bug was fixed that did not add http:// to link URLs when it was left out. This currently will check for either http:// or https:// when adding a URL. Improvements We are currently in the process of revamping the settings pages for each browser. Currently, the site is best viewed in internet explorer, but Firefox, Safari, and Google Chrome are being worked on. Uploading Images - 08.16.08Users may now upload an image from their computer when creating a theme. Previously, users were only able to use images from an external site. Additionally, the Hotmail and AOL Mail updates are almost out of development. GloTouch is now Live! - 06.22.08Many features of GloTouch are still in beta phase, but the site overall is now out of beta phase. Please continue to contact us with any bugs, glitches, or suggestions you have. Visual Changes The entire site has undergone a visual update. GloTouch now has more of a web 2.0 clean and simple feel. Objects A new setting called objects has been added. Objects can be added to a user's homepage to display more information such as weather, time, or stocks. Unlock An unlock link has been added to all user's homepages. Clicking this will make all the items on the homepage draggable to any location that the user wishes. This feature is still in beta phase. Away An away link has been added to all user's homepages. Clicking the link will update the user's updates (gmail, yahoo, and facebook) every 5 minutes. A visual icon and sound will notify the user of a new message. This feature is still in beta. Themes
Ajax Updates - 05.20.08Updates are now grabbed via Ajax after the page loads. This resolves the issue of an unresponsive update causing GloTouch to not load or load slowly. Users who have updates enabled should now notice that their homepage loads much faster. A loading icon is displayed for each update while it is being loading. Additionally, the Gmail and Yahoo updates have been added. New Theme Comments - 05.1.08An icon will display on your homepage when your theme has new comments. We are planning to move the new mail and comments into the update setting, so users may turn them on or off. GloTouch Beta v2.0 - 04.25.08GloTouch has undergone significant changes since the last update. All the changes may not be reflected in this update article. Themes The themes page has received a drastic update. Users can now create, manage, and share their themes with other users. Each theme receives its' own page, views, downloads, and subscribers. For more details about this change, go check out the new themes page. Updates A new setting called updates has been added. This setting allows users to add new message information from popular sites right to their homepage. This setting is still considered in development and only supports Facebook at this time. Inbox An Inbox has been added under the themes setting. This allows users to send messages back and forth between each other. A new mail icon will display on the user's homepage if he/she has new mail. Links
GloTouch Beta v1.1 - 03.12.08GloTouch has undergone some minor visual and coding changes. Themes A preview of our new theme page has been added. The themes page is still underdevelopment, but will allow users to share their custom designed themes when finished. Messages and Errors When an error or message is received after the user updates a setting, the user will now see an improved visual message. Errors are red and successes are green. This message will display for 5 seconds and then fade out. Links
GloTouch is in beta! - 01.21.08GloTouch has undergone significant changes since the last update. We are now ready to say that GloTouch is in beta phase. The biggest changes to GloTouch over the course of the past 2 months can be seen below. New side menu design We got rid of the plain text sub-menu, and replaced it with a more modern look. This sub menu has been applied to every page. New top menu design Once again, we got rid of the plain text and added a new design to our top menu. It is now easily noticable which section you are navigating. This menu has been added to each page. Search Bar
Menus resdesigned - 11.04.07Drop down menus have been dramatically redesigned. The Firefox issue is still being worked on. Additionally, the login, register, and settings pages have been redesigned. Information pages rediesnged - 11.03.07The about, advertising, and contact pages have been redesigned once again. These pages are still a work in progress. About page redesigned - 11.01.07The about page has been redesigned. However, it is still far away from completion. Settings and login pages - 10.15.07A settings and login page has been designed, but they do not currently function.
